BODYWASH
Montreal, QC
set time: 11:10-11:50pm
Bodywash was formed in 2014 as a vehicle for the sonic bond between Chris Steward and Rosie Long Decter. The Montreal duo conjure a dreamscape with airy vocals, wet guitar textures and pulsating synths over a heavy rhythmic foundation. For their first LP, 2019’s Comforter, the band zeroed in on a confident marriage of 90s shoe-gaze & trip-hop, ethereal 80s pop, and contemporary left-field electronic music. The album was recorded with former Kingstonian, Nigel Ward (Seoul). Bodywash also features Kingstonian Micah Flavin, formerly of the band Wilderling.

SUNFORGER
Montreal, QC
set time: 10:20-10:50pm
Formerly known as Mono No Aware, Sunforger is an indie rock band with a frenzied sound. The music is a blend of emo, math rock, post-punk and post-grunge, resulting in tightly controlled chaos that's unpredictable yet cohesive, with a tinge of ‘90s nostalgia. Concise track lengths and a spoonful of pop sensibilities culminate with a strong sense of melody and rhythm to keep things grounded. Sunforger's Piper Curtis grew up in Kingston, formerly playing in experimental noise band, Frank Hoj.

FLEETING COLOURS
Montreal, QC
set time: 9:30-10:00pm
Fleeting Colours is a shoegaze/dream-pop band from Montreal, formed in late 2022 by university students Seamus Hickey, Pablo Sabbagh, and Tom Sedgwick (the latter two members having grown up in Kingston!) brought together by a shared appreciation for bands like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, and DIIV. Drawing from these influences, their music blends soft, hazy vocals, lush reverbs, and swirling guitars, balancing atmospheric depth with a raw energy that keeps listeners coming back.
