Steve Jordan
Polaris Prize, Founder
Steve Jordan is a Canadian music industry veteran who founded the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in 2006, an award meant to celebrate artistic integrity in Canadian albums regardless of genre or sales. He served as the executive director of the prize until 2020, when he became Senior Director of CBC Music.
Andrea Guernsey
Wax Records
Andrea Guernsey is a Canadian music industry professional known for her work in publicity, marketing, and label strategy. She has been part of Wax Records, where she has contributed in roles such as publicist and partnerships/strategy lead, helping promote and develop artists within the label’s roster. With a background spanning major-label experience (including time at Warner Music Group) and independent music companies, Guernsey has built a reputation as a versatile media and marketing specialist in the Canadian music scene. She is also involved in industry initiatives such as mentoring emerging artists and participating in organizations connected to the JUNO Awards.
Tyler Platt
Kingston Film Office, Manager
Tyler Platt is a film and media professional serving as Manager of Film & Media Strategy with the Kingston Film Office (part of Tourism Kingston). With over a decade of experience producing award-winning work across film, television, animation, and digital media, he plays a key role in connecting Kingston’s creative community to the global screen industry. In his role, Platt supports productions by facilitating location scouting, fostering collaboration, and linking local talent with larger-scale projects, helping grow Kingston’s film and media sector while showcasing the city’s creative voice on an international stage.
