Snotty Nose Rez Kids are a Canadian First Nations hip hop duo composed of Haisla rappers Darren "Young D" Metz and Quinton "Yung Trybez" Nyce. Since their debut in 2017, the duo has gained recognition for their politically charged lyrics and high-energy performances. Their album The Average Savage was shortlisted for the 2018 Polaris Music Prize and a Juno Award, marking their rise in the Canadian music scene. This year, Snotty Nose Rez Kids became the first Indigenous group to win the Juno award for rap album of the year (for the album Red Future).

KaKaow is a psychedelic and funk infused multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, performer and creator. Receiving the Creators Award at the 2021 Kingston Mayor’s Arts Awards, KaKaow has established himself as a leader within the local music community. Drawing from a wide array of influences from Parliament-Funkadelic and Hendrix to K+Lab and Stickybuds, KaKaow is an up and coming contemporary Indigenous artist not to be missed.
